COVID Consulting Team

Established March 13, 2020

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the SBDC has pulled together a team of 12 subject matter experts (including 4 Spanish-speaking specialists) to help navigate relief funding for businesses in Boulder County, including:

  • PPP & EIDL Grant and Loans and Forgiveness Submittals
  • City Grants including City of Boulder, City of Longmont, Boulder County and others
  • Energize Colorado Gap Fund and alternative sources

Our team is available at no cost to you and can help you with applying for grants, understanding new marketing opportunities and communicating opportunities to pivot your business in new ways to help you start, grow and prepare for what’s ahead.

ACT Program

The Boulder SBDC has created a program to help businesses adapt to the new business environment called ACT (Assess. Calibrate. Take Action.). Simply complete an online assessment to help us determine your current needs of your business, we’ll review your information and help you take control of your survival and put your plans into motion. This program is provided at no-cost to businesses in Boulder County.

"Keeping Your Business Together in a Crisis" Webinar Series

With nearly 3,000 people signing up for our webinar series that started in March, we are keeping the knowledge flowing. Each week, the Boulder SBDC produces a one hour livestream webinar to cover a relevant topic for small business owners during the time of COVID. Webinars are recorded and be streamed on the website.

Women's Program

Now more than ever, small businesses need to be supportive of one another. The SBDC successfully launched it’s first Woman’s Pilot Program in August 2020. Stay tuned for the next Woman’s Program in 2021.

Expansion of Bilingual Outreach in Boulder County

When the pandemic began, we realized that there were underserved businesses in our community, particularly with our Latino business community. The Boulder SBDC has added additional resources and consultants to respond to this need and has increased our production of videos and materials in Spanish to support businesses in our community.
