Marketing & Event Coordinator

The Boulder SBDC is hiring a full-time Marketing & Event Coordinator. Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the logistics for workshops and events (both virtual and in-person)
  • Strategizing all marketing initiatives to build attendance and reach target businesses and entrepreneurs
  • Handle tracking and reporting
  • Assist the executive director to plan and meet strategic goals

Although the position will be held virtually during the pandemic, it will be a fully on-site position in Boulder (and at satellite offices) soon.

The position may grow into a program manager role over time.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelors degree and a minimum of two years of business experience including marketing and workshop and event planning. Social media/technology  know-how and drivers license required. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred, but not required, as is experience with small business.

While the position will hold mostly daytime office hours, evening hours are needed to match the workshop schedule; weekend hours are rare. The candidate should live in the Boulder County area and have familiarity the County’s business community.

The compensation level is $41,600 – 52,000, depending on experience. Benefits include healthcare (no waiting period) and a 401K cash match.

Boulder SBDC is a fast-paced, hands-on, economic development nonprofit that supports the growth and sustainability of small to midsize businesses through business consulting, workshops and events and connection to business resources, including financing. The SBDC helps startups through second stage businesses, from “Main Street” through highly-scalable ventures, with some programming in both English and Spanish. Over the past year, the center provided more than 3,000 hours of one-on-one consulting to more than 600 businesses and entrepreneurs and produced more than 50 workshops for 1,800 attendees.
